This is Dexter the Schauzer, sadly no longer with us but I know this portrait helps to bring just a little bit of comfort to my client and makes her smile every time she looks at him.

My very first Cockapoo! Meet Wilfred, he had the most stunning eyes beautiful colours which I loved capturing. That beautiful sandy coat too- such a sweetheart.

This is Cooper... such stunning warm tones in his coat. With such a sweet innocent expression!

Sadly Red is no longer with us... but one of my favourite portraits. This was a surprise gift and the owner was so thrilled!

Dodger was the first portrait where I had to draw a tongue! I really loved all the pinks, reds, blues and purple tones also trying to create the texture too. Sadly Dodger has now travelled over rainbow bridge but I know this portrait is a great comfort to my lovely client.

This is Abbey the Weimarana. Her coat was just fascinating- the range of colours within it were phenomenal. Just so much fun to create the smoothness of her coat and her beautiful eyes.

Beautiful Ruby- a cockapoo and gorgeous soft, fluffy fur! A gorgeous dog to draw. I also always enjoy drawing dogs collars so hers was a great challenge with the little handkerchief too!

Betty- An Irish terrier. My first time drawing a wiry coat and I loved it! Gorgeous little pink tongue too!

This is Molly a gorgeous Border Collie. I used a lot more pan pastel in this piece to create a more soft look to her fur. A sweet girl.

Easter bunny- just some fun!

This is Alfie, Australian cousin of Ruby from above. My 3rd Cockapoo and such a darling to draw.

Beautiful puppy Milo. A black lab who I've had the pleasure to draw twice now! Really loved capturing the shine in his coat and using so many colours and actually very little black. Those pearly white teeth and his little pink tongue are just the sweetest.

The very elegant German shepherd Ellie. I had an amazing reference photo from her owner to work from and I had so much fun creating those warm tones and of course that tongue! I was lucky enough to meet Ellie too when her owners collected her portrait! I love meeting my subjects- as I feel from drawing them I already know them so it's very special when I do meet them in real life.

This is a very special portrait of my mum and my dog Stanley! My mum actually requested this and it was my first attempt at drawing a human- so not much pressure! She absolutely loved it and it hangs proudly on her wall.

My first collage portrait and my favourite breed- Jack Russell! Meet Blade- so much fun capturing him in all these different poses! His portrait was a surprise gift and the owner was so happy!

This portrait has so many different challenges for me and I just had the best time creating the many elements to it. Comet and Megan were inseparable and I really wanted to capture their special bond.

One of my all time favourites is Ivy! A gorgeous little Daschund! The colour palette for her fur was full of such warm tones and creating the dapples was so much fun. Those eyes too!

Gorgeous Harley is a Lhasa Apso! Cute as a button- sitting looking so sweet. Her owners were just thrilled!

Rosie has the most soulful eyes you could just get lost in! The sock she has in her mouth (to her) is her baby. Her owner told me she has many socks and treats them like her own pups! Such a sweetheart and her owner was beyond thrilled!

This is Milo, a gorgeous black lab, who I've been lucky to draw twice now. Such a sweetheart with a beautiful glossy coat. Such a great poser too!

This portrait is one of my favourites! Brody the Bassador! I had an excellent reference picture and was able to create lots of detail and I just loved drawing him!

This was a very cute portrait- Saxon who is sadly no longer with us. I really enjoyed  creating the texture of his Teddy. That cute little face too- a dream to draw.

Misty- a darling cocker spaniel puppy with tonnes of energy and mischief!

I was asked to draw two dogs who are sadly no longer with us from two separate pictures- meet Missy and Sky. I loved the challenge of composing the two images to create this portrait. The owners were overcome with emotion and it meant the world to them to have both their special babies captured together.

Meet Flick, she's a beautiful rescue dog and is the sweetest girl who I've had the pleasure of meeting several times. She was very anxious when her owner first adopted her but after a lot of love and training she now gives back the love she's given.

Another special portrait drawn for my lovely mother-in-law of her gorgeous little boys... Buster and Woolley. I get to see lots of these two cuties when they visit all the way from Devon, Woolley was even at my Wedding bless him. My mother-in-law was thrilled with this and it hangs proudly on her wall at home.

Thunder and Ibbotson were real characters to capture and I love how their tales cross. I drew this from two separate photos and I think this connects them beautifully.

Mickey was a very special horse to my client (who's actually a regular client) she has very few photos which were limited in quality but this photo had such feeling with the beautiful sunlight highlighting Mickeys stunning coat. My client was rather emotional when she received the portrait and it sits very proudly on her wall- pride of place!

My first Pug! Lovely Gwen, who so sadly passed away during the time i produced this portrait. This portrait became a huge comfort to the owners who absolutely loved the way I captured her.

One of the most emotional portraits I think I've ever done. 'The last goodbye'. Papineau was not just your average horse. He was a British thoroughbred racehorse. After Papineau's retirement from racing, he was re-trained to compete in horse shows and dressage events. He also worked as a therapy horse that provided equine-assisted therapy through visits to hospitals and hospices such as Newmarket Hospital and East Anglia's Children's Hospices. He was a finalist for the inaugural Sir Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust Retraining of Racehorses Community Impact Award, and his achievements were celebrated at the Retraining of Racehorses Awards on 31 January 2024. Papineau was euthanised on 4 February 2024, at the age of 23. He had recently been diagnosed with heart issues. His death was devastating for those who trained and looked after him as he touched so many. This picture was taken moments before he passed away peacefully in his field with his friends. The emotion this picture evokes is incredible and my goal was to capture this in my portrait. It was an emotional but wonderful experience to complete this and I feel honoured to have been asked to capture ‘the last goodbye'.

A panoramic portrait put together from three separate photos of these cats. Loved this one and so did my clients who actually requested the middle cat Floss be drawn on her own as she was a very special cat for her grandson who is autistic.

Meet Blue, my first French bulldog. Such a sweetheart to draw as a surprise gift for my Clients wife. I was lucky enough to deliver the portrait directly to my client who was local and see both their reactions which were amazing!

My client wanted Floss (previously drawn in a triple cat portrait) requested I drew her on her own for her grandson was so very special to him. I was lucky enough to gift this to her when her grandson was with her and his reaction was one I will never forget. Just so special.

Mabel the cocker spaniel Puppy- an absolute dream ti draw this little beaut! This was a surprise gift for my clients daughter who was overwhelmed when she was given it.

This was an incredibly emotional portrait for me... Violet a Romanian rescue was started while my mum was very ill and then very sadly passed away and continued thereafter. This meant she took on a whole new meaning and will always be very special to me. I pour my heart and soul into every portrait but this one will always have that connection with my dear mum and was the last of my work she saw. Violets mum was so kind and patient with me throughout and when she received the portrait she was moved to tears- this moves me to tears! Violet even sat and posed in front of her portrait giving her official seal of approval!

Meet Toby, one of the most incredible souls I’ve had the honour of capturing. ❀️

Toby was a remarkable rescue dog with a heart full of love and a spirit that touched everyone he met.

He bravely fought through mouth cancer, even after losing part of his jaw—his little floppy tongue became his signature, adding so much charm and character to his already beautiful presence. 🐾

But Toby was more than just a survivor. He gave back in the most amazing way. He visited rescue centres and helped many other anxious dogs, simply by being himself—walking alongside them, bringing them comfort with his calm and steady presence.

His gift was his gentle nature, and he truly had a way of making the world feel a little bit softer. πŸ’–

Sadly he passed away late last year and the age of 12. Quite a feat after what he had been through. πŸ’ͺ

Drawing Toby was an absolute honour. His portrait was created with mostly faber castell polychromos, caran d’ache luminance and pablo colour pencils on pastel mat brown paper (12 x 16 inches)

seeing his owners’ emotional reaction was beyond heartwarming. Moments like that are why I do what I do. πŸ’–

Thank you so much for taking the time to appreciate Toby’s story. He was truly one of a kind. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’•

Meet Buster the Border Terrier 🐾 — a beautiful memorial portrait of a truly special boy. Buster helped his owner through so much sadness and loss, always by her side with love and loyalty. Though I never met him, I felt his gentle soul come through as I worked on his portrait. ❀️

His owner was deeply moved when she received her gift — a mix of emotion, love, and memories. It was such an honour to be trusted with capturing his spirit on paper.

These kinds of commissions mean the world to me. Thank you for letting me be part of Buster’s story. 🌈🐢

✨ Latest Commission Reveal ✨
Meet Peg – a very special Border Terrier girl, lovingly captured in this portrait as a surprise 70th birthday gift πŸ’

Peg’s portrait was commissioned in secret, and I was honoured to play a small part in such a thoughtful celebration. She’s full of character, charm, and clearly adored by her family πŸΎπŸ’•

It’s always a privilege to create these pieces, especially when they mark such a wonderful milestone.
